Why is it taking so long?All of your structure's information (the size and shape, the fixities, the loads,the cracks, and the material properties) have been sent to a computer at Cornell. FRANC2D, which is on that computer, takes the information and sorts it out. Then it analyzes your structure, step by step, for five steps. With each step, FRANC figures out where the structure feels the forces the most and how your cracks should grow. FRANC also paints a picture of the stress contour for each step.Finally, FRANC sends back the analysis results which are then downloaded to your computer. |
